Overview
The SEND peer network meets regularly throughout the year. The peer network is for colleagues working in education, health and care. This work is usually funded through a subscription model.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, no subscription fees will be required from the south west Local Authorities and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) thanks to grant funding from the Department for Education (DfE).
Previously each of the south west LAs and ICBs contributed £500 for 2 delegates or £750 for 3 delegates to attend (except the Isles of Scilly who pay £250)
The subscription includes:
- 3 regional study days
- Monthly huddle meetings
- A contribution towards the costs of the annual 2-day conference
- An annual case officer event.
The governance for the SEND Peer Network is through the Regional Innovation and Improvement Alliance (RIIA).
